No, this study is about understanding different kinds of high school seniors’ experiences which includes students who do and do not plan to attend college as well as those who are not sure if they plan to attend college.
No, this study will include students who do and do not plan to attend college as well as those who aren’t sure what they want to do after high school.
In order to include a wide variety of high school senior experiences, participants will be chosen based on a combination of both their personal and their community demographics (such as community size and region).
Thank you gifts will be distributed after the project closes, usually 1-2 weeks after participants complete the study.
The study will ask you questions about what you are thinking about doing after graduation, and the kind of help that has or would support you in figuring out your future.
If you choose to stop responding to questions within the 3 days of the study, you will be compensated for the questions you did respond to, meaning if you responded to two questions and there are ten, you would receive $40 for the time you did spend.
Your information will be kept confidential. This means no one will be able to figure out what you said or did. The researchers will NEVER tell other people your name. No one will be able to tell who the researchers are talking about. In any online group activities, the researchers will ask everyone to use a pseudonym (fake name) to protect your and the other students’ privacy.

The goal of the study is to support the equitable implementation of CA AB469, the recently passed legislation focused on increasing the completion of the federal financial aid application (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act application (CADAA) through an exploration of the high school seniors’ experience.
